Part-Time Finance Assistant

£24-30k (pro rata)
Hours 21 hours (Flexible working)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join a successful business in Guildford!
My client is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to provide support to the finance and client support teams on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Raising and issuing invoices/estimates and retainers to client
- Inputting external adviser/supplier invoices
- Chasing client payments and issuing statements
- Calling clients and assisting with payment instructions
- Depositing client payments into bank
- Maintaining/updating client/supplier detaiils
- To provide full administrative support to the team
- Onboarding of clients on to our systems including carrying out AML checks
- Maintaining and reviewing clients online accounts with HMRC
- Preparing standard HMRC letters
- Packaging and uploading of tax returns and any other documents to client portals
- Printing returns and preparing letters/packaging
- New client set up
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using Xero or similar accounting software
- Prior experience in tax compliance support or a similar role (desirable)
