Nursery Teaching Assistant
Newstaff are urgently seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant that has previously worked in an Early Years setting. This is a full-time temporary placement, working in a lovely school in Leighton Buzzard. The role is due to start after the half term and potentially continue to the end of the school year. There may be the opportunity for a permanent contract if the placement goes well.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You must have a DBS that is registered on the update service.
  • 2 referees available for referencing.
  • Experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the class teacher in the teaching and day to day running of the classroom.
  • Be a good communicator with staff and children
  • Supporting children individually or in small groups with their learning journeys, providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of resources
  • Helping with activities and play-based learning opportunities.
  • Working with the class teacher and colleagues to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Providing feedback to the class teacher on children's progress and any concerns observed during interactions.
