We are seeking 3 Specialist Support Assistants to join our dedicated team at a college in Nuneaton for the upcoming academic year. This role is ideal for enthusiastic and inspirational individuals who are committed to supporting students with Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP), including those with Autism, social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide classroom supervision for students identified with EHCP support needs.
- Take responsibility for identified individuals during scheduled timetable sessions and unstructured times.
- Offer general classroom resource support to teaching teams.
- Supervise and invigilate examinations and assessments.
- Oversee students' physical needs and ensure their well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A good standard of education, including GCSE English and Maths.
- A Teaching Qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a similar support role or within education is preferred – comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidates.
