Key Account Manager

Main purpose of job:

To build and maintain key business relationships and accounts within the Healthcare division, and to provide technical waste expertise and guidance.

Specifically, to establish a partnership approach with clients, towards long-term Waste Management sustainability, to build effective relationships with new and existing clients and key business contacts, and to maintain regular and constructive communications with colleagues and external contracts with a view to developing the account contracts. Retention will also be key along with getting to know the customers' requirements and providing solutions.

We require a proactive and problem solving individual to maximise retention, revenue and profitability of the Tradebe Healthcare customer-base. Using your excellent organisational and relationship management skills you'll ensure a class-beating customer experience while seeking out opportunities for delivering added value for our clients and profitable growth for Tradebe Healthcare and the wider Group.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Account Management Team and Commercial Manager to support the retention and development of existing contracts as well as new business opportunities.
  • To manage sales leads and pipeline to increase revenue and profit for the areas disposal facility
  • Provide support to the SQ / Specialist division of the company with developing this market sector within their area and portfolio
  • Proactively engage with non - NHS organisations to increase waste volumes into the regions disposal facilities
  • Effective implementation of new contracts (contract Roll-out). This includes, but not limited to, management of effective SAP set up, communication with key stakeholders regarding the new contracts and associated requirements, through to invoicing and ongoing account management of the contract going forwards.
  • Generation of customer reports and supply in a timely manner, showing waste returns, specific contract data, with a view to providing comprehensive and valuable information to the Customer.
  • Provide Tradebe and customers with regular reports on Account performance in line with internal and Customer KPIs
  • Provide support to the Strategic Account Manager regarding aged debt and/or invoicing queries relating to the specific accounts within portfolio.
  • Build effective relationships with new and existing key business contacts within Healthcare sector, with a view to developing long term customer relationships to grow individual account portfolios.
  • To hold overall responsibility for retaining, managing, supporting and services for the account related needs of all strategic customers across the Account Manager specific contracts.
  • To maintain and develop an effective working relationship with operations in order to ensure customer service is delivered in line with the customer and contract requirements.
  • To work with the customers to check pre-acceptance reports, audits are up to date, and where necessary, segregation is in place. Including the completion of customer pre-acceptance audits as and when required.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell training, e learning and other Tradebe services to existing clients.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell other services not provided in house by Tradebe.
  • Assist in the development of good waste management practices and segregation policies.
  • Regular monitoring and auditing to ensure that existing waste legislation; policies and procedures are being adhered to.
  • Engaging with your customers in the right way, creating solutions to their challenges and doing everything you can to improve their experience when dealing with us will place us in the best possible position to maintain the relationship for years to come. Having a good understanding of your customer portfolio will enable you to ensure the opportunity to renew or extend a contract never gets missed.
  • You'll need to develop a strong understanding of your customers, their challenges, and our own capability: marrying the two together will help you deliver added value for the customer and profitable growth for Healthcare and the wider Tradebe Group

Other Essential Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, especially Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven Account Management skills
  • Sales / Retention experience

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of waste handling practises

Knowledge:

  • Experience of Waste Management is desirable, particularly Clinical, Hazardous Waste. This can include General Waste & Recycling knowledge and experience.
