About Us:
We are excited to announce the opening of a brand-new SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Lincoln. Our school is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with SEMH needs, including those diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Starting with 30 pupils, we aim to grow to 120 pupils within the first two years.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Headteacher to lead our school from its inception. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the school's vision, ethos, and culture. You will have significant input in recruiting a dedicated team of teachers and support staff, ensuring that our pupils receive the highest quality education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the school in its mission to provide exceptional education and support for pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Oversee the recruitment and development of a skilled and compassionate team of teachers and support staff.
  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes the well-being and academic success of all pupils.
  • Engage with Ofsted, commissioners, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the school's budget and resources effectively to support its growth and development.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Headteacher or in a senior leadership role within an independent school setting.
  • Extensive experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, including those with ASD and ADHD.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and experience in engaging with commissioners and other regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
