Job Title: Project Manager - Construction

Location: Warwick/ Hybrid - 1 to 2 days per week on-site

Duration: 12 Months (Scope for up to 4 years!)

Daily Rate: Circa* £850 via Umbrella (or PAYE option available with bonus and additional benefits)

Objective

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the third-party design and construction of a new head office and tier 4 critical control room, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Design Coordination

  • Lead the planning process, establishing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Set up a full client-facing design team capable of translating client requirements into actionable plans while ensuring seamless communication and integration with the broader project objectives.

  • Coordinate with third-party architects and designers to ensure that plans meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for building tier 4 critical control rooms.

  • Construction Oversight

  • Supervise the construction process to ensure adherence to designs and specifications.

  • Manage any necessary bidding processes for sub-contractors and suppliers and oversee their work.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety standards.

  • Budget Management

  • Risk Management

  • Quality Assurance

  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Closeout

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record in managing design and construction of high-value office buildings, with experience in critical control room environments being highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Robust understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • PMP,PRINCE2,orequivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.

Reporting Structure

The Project Manager will report directly to the Head of Property or equivalent senior position within the organisation.
