Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus Car Allowance

Role: Permanent - Full-Time

Our client, is a premier planning consultancy, is seeking a talented Mineral and Waste Planner to join their innovative team. Where you will work collaboratively to help them deliver comprehensive planning solutions to the mining and minerals industry.

OUR CLIENT:

Mineral and Waste Planner Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic plans for mineral exploration and extraction projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all planning activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to mineral planning and land use.
  • Environmental Impact Assessments: Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments to evaluate potential effects of mining projects and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Consultation: Engage with government agencies, landowners, community groups, and other stakeholders to gather input, address concerns, and facilitate project approvals.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed planning documents, reports, and proposals. Maintain accurate records of all planning activities and decisions.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning and permitting process, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in planning, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mineral planning or a similar role within the planning or mining industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, land use policies, and planning processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in GIS and other planning-related software is highly desirable.
