IT Account Manager who has a proven track record in a client-facing IT service or IT sales role preferably within a Microsoft Managed Service Provider / MSP is required for a multi-award winning Managed Service Provider based in the City of London.

SALARY: £170,000 OTE + Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid working / 3 Days per Week working from the office in the City of London (Near Liverpool Street and Fenchurch Street Stations) and 2 Days per Week from home

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an IT Account Manager who has a proven track record in a client-facing IT service or IT sales role preferably within a Microsoft Managed Service Provider / MSP to help grow and develop the company's client base.

Working as the IT Account Manager you will join a company that is one of the most established IT providers, a multi-award winning Managed Service Provider based in central London, offering services to prestigious businesses around Microsoft cloud (Azure), support, IT security and IT transformation.

The company design, deliver and manage IT solutions to meet their clients strategic needs across Cloud (predominantly Azure), Cyber-Security, Infrastructure, Networking and End-User services. They have also developed a range of innovative systems covering areas from IT automation to governance and security, all helping them distinguish their services from other providers.

The company is a growing and evolving business, growing in 2023 and again in 2024. With 2023 being their most successful year for new clients. 2024 is currently on track to exceed this success. Net customer organic growth of 14% in 2023 and expected achieve 20% in 2024, with profits on track to grow by 300% in 2024 compared to 2023.

The company works hard on bringing new innovative services to customers, launching Security Operations Center (SoC) in 2023, and most recently their IT Risk & Governance services.

BE THE BEST

As the IT Account Manager you will be responsible for the Clients account development and their IT strategy. The core focus of your role will be to grow revenues by selling projects and upselling services, all the while delighting your Clients. This will mean establishing strong advisory relationships with Clients, developing a deep understanding of their organisation, building a detailed knowledge of the company's products and capabilities, and ultimately ensuring the company is best placed to help Clients use technology to enable their businesses.

The company also has the most comprehensive analysis of customers within their client-dashboards which cover many aspects of a Clients IT from IT performance, IT assets, IT risks, and cyber-security which collectively provide an unprecedented amount of data to leverage for value-based-selling.

You will work along-side the Client, the company's CIO and Technical Consultants, to build a client's IT Roadmap, and then manage the various sales activities to translate the roadmap into statements-of-work.

Your role will include lead generation, relationship management, negotiation, managing opportunities through the CRM, and day to day account management.

ABOUT YOU

You have a proven track record of success in a client-facing IT service or IT sales role, with the appetite and ambition to develop into a Senior Account Manager. You'll also need demonstrable experience working to a financial target/KPIs for a managed service provider (or similar) and will be comfortable working in an environment of technical solutions to demanding customers.

DUTIES

Your duties as an IT Account Manager include:

  • Monthly Client Performance Reviews: Covering service performance, risks and security and progress in IT roadmap
  • Client Satisfaction: Collaborate with Operations to communicate service-related issues and ensure client understand how to use the services
  • Commercials: Manage contract renewals
  • IT Roadmaps: Collaborate with Operations to develop a 12-36 month IT Roadmap to assist account plans and budgeting
  • Understand Client Objectives: Liaise with all client executives to better understand the business and individual objectives
  • Pipeline Management: Develop, review and monitor your sales pipeline

REQUIREMENTS

Must have:

  • Managed Services: Experience working in managed services selling one (or all) of Cloud (ie Azure), Support, Security, Disaster Recovery, Backup, Professional Services
  • Client: Experience managing accounts
  • ITIL: Familiar with the ITIL framework principals
  • Licenses: An understanding of Microsoft licenses
  • Tech Savvy: Familiar with the concept of multiple technologies (i.e. direct and cloud hosting, virtualisation, desktop, networks, infrastructure as a service, etc.)
  • Strategic: Experience of creating customer IT strategies and roadmaps
