Integra Talent are partnering with a growing accountancy firm based in Oldham to recruit a talented and driven Practice Accountant.
This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in preparing accounts, ensuring financial compliance, and offering practical advisory support to a variety of clients across different sectors. You'll be responsible for managing your own workload, working closely with senior team members, and providing high-quality accounting services.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Key Responsibilities of the Practice Accountant role are:
- Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Management accounts and VAT returns.
- Ensure accurate records and timely submissions to HMRC and Companies House.
- Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
- Support with bookkeeping tasks and software integration.
- Audit preparation and tax compliance where required.
- Collaborate with colleagues on process improvements and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Confident communicator, capable of building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
- Proven end to end accounts preparation experience.
- Comfortable working with accountancy software, tax platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Highly organised and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Detail-focused with a commitment to delivering quality work.
