Engineering Training Manager

Salary: £54,000 per annum
Hours: 1.0 FTE (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Department: Engineering Faculty
Reporting To: Head of Faculty

Job Overview:
Our client in the Education Sector is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Engineering Training Manager to join their high performing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of their commercial engineering contracts, ensuring high-quality education for learners and employer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all elements of commercial engineering contracts.
  • Work with employers to develop and deliver the best possible training programs.
  • Bid and tender for new contracts to grow the business.
  • Identify new and existing markets for commercial engineering training.
  • Lead and manage a team of lecturers, assessors, training consultants, and contract managers.
  • Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons (in person and remotely) across multiple levels (FE, HE, Apprenticeships).
  • Manage and develop the team to ensure programs meet student and employer expectations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive management experience.
  • Experience of teaching and learning within FE from Level 2 to Level 4. (Desirable)
  • Deep understanding of apprenticeship standards / Or has worked with apprentices whilst employed as the above (Essential)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical and/or Electronic Engineering.
  • Industry experience in Mechanical and/or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in commercial bidding, tendering, and winning contracts
