What this role is all about:

This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role within Vitality Technical Marketing team, the thought leadership and distribution marketing function for the Vitality UK businesses (Life and Health Insurance).

The candidate will draw on their expertise, and ability to elucidate technical concepts in an intuitive and compelling narrative, to translate the workings of the businesses into compelling material that establishes Vitality as an industry leader amongst a diverse audience - including intermediaries, direct sales staff, HR practitioners, healthcare professionals and key government and non-governmental stakeholders. The candidate will also provide input into the development of the Vitality proposition across each of its business lines.

Key Actions

  • Working closely with a range of internal functions including product, underwriting, sales, marketing, PR and training in helping the business launch innovative new solutions to the UK market.
  • Develop compelling positioning and drive the roll-out of launch, roadshow and campaign material to financial advisers and franchises to ensure successful execution of business deliverables and targets.
  • Contribute to product development initiatives based on insights from market feedback, data and other monitoring structures.
  • Perform in depth competitor and market analysis to supporting the businesses in maintaining and growing their competitive advantages.
  • Deliver regular webinars to the various sales teams
  • Develop a range of thought leadership material including white paper, reports and insights articles.
  • Develop new tools to help advisers understand and sell our products

Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:

  • A level or equivalent in mathematics
  • Bachelor degree in a actuarial, mathematical, medical or biological sciences degree
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Communicates effectively; expresses opinions, information and key points of an argument clearly; makes presentations and undertakes public speaking with skill and confidence; responds quickly to the needs of an audience and to their reactions and feedback
