SEN Cover Supervisor

Responsibilities of working as an SEN Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during the absence of regular teachers.
- Ensure that students are engaged in the learning activities provided by the absent teacher.
- Adapt to the individual needs of the students learning struggles and provide support and guidance.
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Take attendance and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members.
- Support the administration and smooth operation of the school as required.
- Assist with other duties related to student supervision and support as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience of an SEN Cover Supervisor:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Experience working within SEN school students, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
