I am excited to be exclusively partnering with a client based near St Neots Cambridgeshire who are currently recruiting for a Group CEO to join their business on a full-time permanent basis. Offering a mix of homebased and office working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (however some flexibility will be required). Salary between £70,000 - £80,000 depending on your experience. You will have proven experience in the automotive industry, working at a similar level.

You will be responsible for safeguarding and augmenting the efficiency of the companys operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success. Ensuring all companies operate within their set budgets including achieving Sales Targets. Overseeing budgets, staff and executives and evaluating the success of the company.

The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. You must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business.

Personal Qualities and Experience

  • Highly motivated and results driven. Sets ambitious targets and gets results.
  • Experience in the automotive repair sector would be desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communicator. Articulates a compelling argument with customers, colleagues and influential industry contacts.

  • Understands the principles of vehicle repair and testing technologies and spots new trends.

Responsibilities

  • Set challenging budgets for all Companies and ensure all Companies operate within these budgets.
  • Liaise with other Directors to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organisational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Oversee customer support processes and organise them to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external customers.
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.

Requirements and Knowledge

  • Proven experience as Sales / Operations Director or equivalent position
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of industrys legal rules and guidelines
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law
