Shipping Clerk (Customs Entries)
Location: Liverpool City Centre (office based)
Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 DOE

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Clerk to join our well established and growing freight forwarding client located in Liverpool's city centre.
Position Overview: As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in our Liverpool office, focusing on customs entries for both European and international shipments. Your attention to detail, knowledge of customs regulations, and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the smooth flow of goods through our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit customs entries for import and export shipments
- Collaborate with customs authorities, carriers, and clients to ensure compliance with regulations
- Handle documentation related to customs declarations, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists
- Monitor shipment status and resolve any customs-related issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
- Documentation checking
- UK & Euro haulage deliveries & collections
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customs entries or freight forwarding is highly desirable
- Familiarity with customs software (e.g., E-Customs) is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
