Youth Project Co-ordinator

Have you worked in a project role within a third sector organisation or possess relevant experience of working on a youth focused project?

Upskill-U a restorative organisation working to transform communities through restorative approaches and practise is currently looking for a Project Co-ordinator to join its team.

You will be working across our flagship services which is designed to therapeutically support young people at risk of violence and exploitation.

As a Project Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the project from start to finish proactively contributing to the continual development of the service overseeing a team, liaising with clients, managing service user feedback, evaluations, and requests.

Key Remits:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of our restorative youth project
  • Pro-actively triage and assess new referrals/cases
  • Effectively communicate with partner agencies to ensure a seamless implementation process
  • Allocate referrals to Mentors
  • Produce and manage weekly delivery schedules
  • Managing your team of mentors - managing updates, project progress, evaluation/reports & appointments.
  • Establish and monitor safeguarding - identifying/reporting any concerns
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders such as social workers, police, YOS.
  • Represent the organisation on key multiagency meetings
  • Produce and present monitoring and evaluation reports for funders/commissioners and key partners
  • Identifying Mentor training requirements
  • Oversee project expenses

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a project development & delivery role preferably within a third sector organisation, local authority, or youth focused environment
  • Experience of working with a wide range of agencies including providers of statutory services
  • Experience in managing & providing effective leadership skills to a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of young people's requirements
  • Knowledge of safeguarding
  • Experience in arranging meetings, overseeing expenses, arranging sessions/workshops
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages
