Our client has made significant strides in Cambridge and Oxford, with 65 planners working on some of the most high-profile projects in these regions. While the London team is already successful and profitable, it has been identified as a critical area for growth in line with their 2030 strategy. The incoming Head of Planning will play a pivotal role in driving this development forward.

In this role, you'll also collaborate with market-leading teams in Project Management, Capital Markets, and Energy & Renewables, benefiting from a strong cross-departmental trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing team of planners, fostering collaboration and excellence.
  • Business Development: Drive new business opportunities and develop key partnerships to expand market presence.
  • Strategic Growth: Shape and implement strategic plans to grow the planning business in London, aligning with broader goals.
  • Client Management: Cultivate strong client relationships, offering expert advice and bespoke planning solutions.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning and delivery of key projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior planning role, ideally within consultancy.
  • Deep knowledge of the London planning landscape and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong track record in business development and client management.
  • Professional qualifications (RTPI) and a relevant degree in planning or a related field.

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: Generous package including group bonus scheme.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Up to 8% matched pension, private medical, lifestyle discounts, and more.
  • Professional Development: Opportunities for continuous learning and career progression.
  • Inclusive Culture: A supportive, inclusive work environment with a commitment to diversity and equal opportunity.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven leader to make a significant impact in London's planning landscape, guiding a successful team toward even greater heights. If you are ready to take on this challenge and drive meaningful change in one of the world's most exciting cities, we'd love to hear from you.
