They strive to encourage their learners by managing their challenging behaviour in a positive and creative way. School Mental Health Assistant Requirements:

  • Personal/Professional experience with children and/or young people is desirable but not essential
  • A caring individual with energy, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work as part of team, alongside teaching and support staff
  • Willing to support a pupil with personal care where necessary.
  • Able to use their initiative to support learning.
  • Passion to support children and young people with special educational needs
