Interim Management Accountant - c. 6 months (potential for long term)
I am currently recruiting an Interim Management Accountant on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Kettering. This 6 month role is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced Management Accountant to step into a dynamic environment and make an immediate impact, with the possibility of a long term role for the right candidate.
What you'll do:
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns.
- Track KPIs to drive company performance.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Ensure a smooth and accurate flow of financial information.
- Provide ad hoc financial information and support the Financial Controller/CFO as needed.
- Assist with documentation for Auditors and Tax Advisors.
- Present management and accounting reports to Stakeholders, Board members, and the Management team.
What you'll need:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or demonstrably QBE.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (V-look up, pivot tables).
- High degree of personal accountability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Drive for continuous improvement and fostering a strong financial ethos across the business.
Desirable:
- Experience with Epicor would be highly advantageous.
- Background in Manufacturing/Assembly and/or Distribution environments, with Stores/Inventory control experience being a plus.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with multi-currencies.
