Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Reed Finance are working with a leading employer in Portsmouth who are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to support their Finance function with a focus on delivering high-quality reporting and analysis that drives improved performance and decision-making. This role involves close collaboration with investors, handling M&A activities, and contributing to Board reporting. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Produce financial and non-financial reports, KPIs, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Assess reporting and analytical needs, implementing both tactical and strategic solutions.
- Work closely with investors on ad-hoc requests and escalate relevant analysis to internal stakeholders.
- Support the company's interest hedging activities and contribute to M&A and financing activities.
- Generate investor reports and contribute to Board reporting.
- Assist with year-end audit and reporting requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant or qualified by experience.
- Industry experience is advantageous.
- Corporate Finance and Treasury experience.
- Strong analytical skills and a logical thinker.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present succinctly to stakeholders.
- Tactical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills with modelling experience using Power BI or equivalent.
- A continuous improvement ethos.
- A strong self-starter who is organised and can prioritise their own workload.
