IT Manager

Our client have a great opportunity for an IT Manager to join the business and take ownership of the IT Roadmap and internal infrastructure and systems.

The IT Manager will be responsible for 2 sites with manufacturing and distribution activities as well as office based functions on them - ensuring that the businesses computer systems, infrastructure, and communications networks are appropriate to the business needs of the company and manage the ongoing development of these as the business needs evolve.

We are looking to speak with IT Manager candidates that are interested in innovation and evolving processes and systems in the long term as the business has robust growth plans and will offer great opportunities to innovate and capitalise on investment opportunities.

As IT Manager your main responsibilities include:

  • Take responsibility for the IT Roadmap and driving the company's technology landscape forward.
  • Manage and maintain IT budgets
  • Dealing with upgrades/maintenance.
  • Play your part in the configuration & support of various projects centred around improving the businesses technology infrastructure.
  • System Administration for all business software and operating systems
  • IT Systems and hardware support for day-to-day operations.
  • Network & communication infrastructure
  • Implement / maintain the major incident plan for all critical applications within the organisation.
  • Take responsibility for IT/Cybersecurity
  • Periodic reporting of key metrics, risks and issues to senior management
  • Collate data and trends for systems performance with a view to identify and deploy solutions to improve service levels.
  • Management of Networking and VOIP (8x8) Telephony infrastructure
  • Support ad hoc 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support issues

Additional considerations:

  • High level of competency in IT management and new technology.
  • Proven Experience in Project Management
  • Well versed in Network Maintenance including firewall, Wi-Fi, printers & devices
  • SharePoint Site building and integration
  • Understanding of business processes and use of technology in a multi-location environment
  • Ability to work as an effective team member across the organisation.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Sound technical knowledge of MS Suite, Active Directory and access databases etc
  • Knowledge of office 365, specifically managing and maintaining OneDrive / SharePoint and teams infrastructure
  • Previous project management experience
  • Knowledge of both network and telephony infrastructure
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
