Our client is currently seeking a Family Coach to join them on a full-time basis for a temporary contract until May 2025 with the possibility of extension.

The Role

As a Family Coach, you will deliver our client's service across London.

Supporting children and young people who are on or above the 91st percentile for weight, you will deliver specialist nutrition and physical activity advice and motivational support to help children, young people and their families make positive lifestyle changes.

Delivering interventions and creating personal plans for children and young people, you will encourage healthier eating, physical activity, oral health and emotional wellbeing.

Working with local authorities, you will promote national and local public health priorities including healthy eating, physical activity, oral health and emotional wellbeing.

About You

To be considered as a Family Coach, you will need:

- Experience delivering health promotion programmes of support
- Experience working with young people and their families
- Experience devising and delivering short-term, individually tailored support plans
- Experience using a range of techniques in promoting behavioural change
- Experience responding to safeguarding risks
- An NVQ Level 3 or above in social work, health or education or equivalent experience of working in a Health Promotion Service

Appointments are subject to our client receiving a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service that they consider acceptable.
