Science Teacher / Aspiring Assistant Head Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Excellence:

Deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons to students with diverse learning profiles. Adapt your teaching methods to accommodate SEN pupils, ensuring their progress and well-being.

  • Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum, incorporating innovative approaches and practical experiences. Champion inclusivity and accessibility.

  • Leadership Aspirations:

Express your interest in leadership roles within the school. As an Aspiring Assistant Head Teacher, you'll have opportunities to contribute to decision-making, staff development, and whole-school improvement.

  • Student Support:

Provide pastoral care, mentorship, and guidance to students. Foster positive relationships and advocate for their academic and emotional growth.

  • SEN Expertise:

Utilise your understanding of SEN strategies, differentiation, and personalised learning to create an inclusive classroom environment. Work closely with support staff and external agencies.

  • Collaboration:

Engage with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders. Attend SEN-related meetings and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
  • Passion for SEN education and a commitment to meeting individual needs.
  • Aspirations for leadership roles within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
