Role Overview:

As the Paraplanner, you will be the first port of call for client queries, ensuring their needs are met with precision and care. Your role will involve:

  • Client Interaction: Addressing client queries and providing valuation summaries.
  • Meeting Preparation: Assisting advisers by anticipating client needs and preparing for meetings.
  • Service Excellence: Upholding high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation: Crafting investment strategy documents and suitability letters post-client meetings, considering their circumstances, needs, and objectives, including tax planning.
  • Product Knowledge: Staying updated on products and funds to recommend suitable options for clients.
  • Research: Conducting thorough research to support adviser recommendations and bespoke analysis when needed.
  • Client Relationship: Building strong rapport with clients, understanding their perspectives, and servicing their accounts effectively.
  • File Management: Maintaining orderly client files for easy information retrieval by colleagues.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all compliance paperwork is in order and meeting FCA and overall regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Financial Planning: Commitment to completing this qualification within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Workload Management: Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage your workload efficiently.
  • Team Player: Capable of working independently and as part of a team, even under pressure.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in IT and willingness to learn relevant back-office systems.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of FCA principles, Consumer Duty, Data Protection Act 2018, and GDPR 2018.
