We have a 3 months temporary Bander Packer role available within TATA Steelpark Way in Willinhall. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the production or manufacturing environment and considers themselves to be punctual, reliable and proactive.

Location: TATA Steel, Steelpark Way, Willenhall, Wolverhampton WV11 3SQ
Salary: £23200 annually. £11.90ph with 10% shift allowance = £13.09ph
Weekends: £17.85ph
Contract length: 3 months initially
Shift Patterns: Double days, working 05:30-13:30 and 13:30 to 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 0600-11:40 and 11:40-17:10 Friday.
Start: ASAP pending Occupational Health check which includes a Drug and Alcohol test
Responsibilities:
Follow packing specifications in line with customer requirements
Operate tooling and material handling equipment
Follow site Health and Safety rules and ensure those around you do the same
Challenge unsafe conditions and actions
Work flexibly and as directed to meet the needs of the business
Recognise relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material selection and processing
Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques
Understand, deploy and seek to recommend improvements to production control procedures
Handle all material including stock records, labelling, and storing according to commercial requirements and recognised safety standards
Essential requirements:
Previous experience in a Warehouse/Production environment
Ability to conduct manual handling and be on your feet for long periods of time
Driving Licence and access to own vehicle due to the shift timings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
Ability to work on own initiative as well as communicate effectively as part of a team
Desirable requirements:
Previous experience using SAP
FLT/Counterbalance licence or experience
Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment
Qualifications or experience in decoiling, press or cutting
