Job Description
Our client looking for a Software Implementation Consultant to serve as a technical lead within our Integrations team. The successful candidate will engage in sales meetings with potential clients to offer insights and help define project scopes. Following the scoping phase, the consultant will oversee the technical execution of the integration process.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and hands-on experience managing EDI projects, including setting up EDI receipts. A deep understanding of EDI protocols and best practices is essential. This role requires close collaboration with clients to ensure the seamless integration of EDI systems into
their business operations.
Key Role Objectives
- Attend sales calls to provide technical support consulting with prospects/customers agreeing on suitable deliverables for Open ECX to sell/implement
- Complete technical Statements of Works and ensure all parties are aware of the agreed solution being delivered
- Deliver projects end to end ensuring all deliverables are completed within agreed timescales (Comms Connectivity / System Implementation / Business Rules Configuration)
- Attend project calls and work with the Delivery Manager providing regular progress updates to our customers
- Work with 3rd party providers where required to achieve successful Integrations
- Lead and manage end-to-end EDI project implementations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and map EDI processes
- Configure and set up EDI receipt processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transmission and receipt issues
- Ensure compliance with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc.) and industry best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in protocol configuration (API / FTP / SFTP)
- Strong experience using SQL
- Proven experience in EDI implementation projects, with a focus on receipt setup.
- Strong understanding of EDI protocols, standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT)
- Experience working with ERP systems or other integration platforms
- Ability to translate technical EDI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
