Employee Relations Advisor

KM4HR are exclusively working with a nationally recognised employer to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor.

This role would be perfect for someone with 1-2 years exposure to employee relations with the confidence to manage Employee Relations cases through to completion for this volume hiring, service oriented, multi-site business.

Individuals coming from a generalist background but with a keenness to specialise would be a great fit for this newly created position.

In addition, you will also have the opportunity to support the people lifecycle including; recruitment, reporting, payroll, reward & benefits and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities by role priority:

Employee Relations:

  • Resolving case management issues, up to and including dismissal
  • Providing sound, friendly, commercially focused advice on HR issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Giving advice that is accurate and often complex to assist line managers make the right decisions.
  • Overseeing and advising on absence, disciplinary, grievances and performance management policies and practices
  • Advising stakeholders on current employment legislation and communicating forthcoming changes and their impact
  • Support change management projects, including TUPE, acquisitions and contract reviews
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of HR related training to managers
  • Using the HR System and Power BI to effectively extract data to provide information in relation to people matters
  • Working with the People Manager to review & amend HR policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that all compliance/regulatory matters are managed efficiently

HR Generalist:

  • HR Administration: Updating document templates including employment contracts
  • Recruitment: Correctly advertising roles for hiring managers across the business
  • Payroll: Maintain accurate employee data to ensure employees are paid correctly
  • HR Systems: Maintain and update the HRIS database with employee data and other relevant information
  • HR Projects: Provide management information to the People Manager relating to employee relations, absence data, key trends, and performance

Experience

  • HR or People function experience, within a fast paced, dynamic and high case environment
  • Proven experience managing ER cases to dismissal
  • Demonstrate up to date working knowledge of UK employment legislation including GDPR
  • CIPD qualified
  • Strong experience providing advice and guidance to managers and leaders on ER related matters
  • Comfortable giving immediate advice that is accurate, commercially focused, and often complex
  • Excellent communicator
  • Experience working with ACAS and/or employment tribunals is desirable

This position is a hybrid contract requiring 2 days a week to be worked onsite. Travel to additional sites (not exceeding 2 days per week) within the region will be also be a role requirement so a driving licence and use of car for business purposes is essential.
