Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2 (TA2)

Role Overview: As a TA2, you will be primarily based in Key Stage 2 (KS2) as a general Teaching Assistant. With class sizes of fewer than 10 pupils, you will have the opportunity to work closely with each student, implementing tailored strategies to support their unique needs. Your role will also require flexibility, as you may be asked to assist in other year groups as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support in KS2, ensuring a high standard of care and education for all pupils.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Employ a variety of strategies to support pupils with specific needs, fostering their academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain a calm, nurturing approach to support students' emotional and social development.
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to the overall positive ethos of the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • Knowledge of various strategies to support pupils with specific needs.
  • A calm, nurturing approach with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of different year groups.
  • Commitment to professional development and a willingness to complete your TA3 qualification (fully supported by the school).
