Lighting Key Account Manager

Within this role you will be focusing in East London, Essex and Kent.

Role Overview

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and developing profitable trading relationships with key customers and Accounts.

Promoting the company by carrying out sales activities to develop a blended portfolio of strategic Key A and B Accounts across a selection of M&E consultant, Lighting Designers, Main contractors, and Electrical contractors, as well as to the End User.

Other responsibilities include the monitoring and evaluating of all open orders and being the point of escalation for all customer orders, as well as working closely with the accounts team to resolve any invoicing issues.

Major Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Prospecting, the generation of qualified and profitable leads
  • Project identification, tracking and accurate forecasting.
  • Managing existing Accounts seeking and developing client referrals
  • Develop and maintain a customer database, sales and promotional materials.
  • Make sales calls to new and existing clients.
  • Develop and present company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Respond to sales inquiries, develop sales proposal and negotiate with clients.
  • Work with internal and external Sales colleagues.
  • Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports.
  • Follow up, monitor and report on sales activities for management team.
  • Meet revenue and profit objectives driving value.
  • Maximise sales performance and profitability.

Necessary skills & Experience to fulfil the job requirements

  • Experience of interior and exterior lighting market
  • The ability to demonstrate existing customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly and concisely
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Technical knowledge, luminaire applications and knowledge of lighting design guide
  • Team player and ability to work closely with other members of the sales specification team

Salary - Up to £70,000 + bonus
