HR and Payroll Coordinator
Location: NG9 – Trowell
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break) Office Based.
The Opportunity
Our established and growing client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR and Payroll Coordinator to manage the day-to-day HR administration and oversee payroll processes. This is a hands-on role within a busy commercial environment, ideal for someone confident in coordinating HR duties while ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process monthly payroll, including overtime, holiday pay, and statutory deductions
- Manage and update employee records using the payroll software
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes including drafting contracts and offer letters
- Track holidays, absences, and training records
- Handle day-to-day HR queries from staff and managers
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal HR policies
- Prepare reports for senior management and assist with audits where necessary
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR and payroll matters
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar HR and/or payroll coordination role
- Experience using payroll systems (or similar platforms i.e. Sage, Bright)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Reliable, discreet, and able to manage sensitive information
