Page Personnel are working with a highly successful, diverse business. Due to growing workload they are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join them on a part-time basis
Description
Payroll Specialist responsibilities include:
- Process monthly payroll for c.250 UK based colleagues.
- Collate and input all starters, leavers and adjustments into payroll.
- Produce monthly payroll files for review and sign off.
- Input payroll journals into the accounting system
- Assist in the month end close process, including reconciliation of all payroll control accounts in the system.
- Produce and submit compulsory monthly and year-end statutory returns and reports to HMRC
- Identify, investigate, and resolve queries and obtain approval to submit communications to HMRC
- Manage all pension scheme changes, including the administration of new starters into the pension scheme in line with auto-enrolment requirements.
- Produce and submit monthly and annual pension returns to administrators.
- Produce and submit monthly and annual share save returns.
- Arrange payment of payroll related amounts due for benefit schemes, pensions, and HMRC.
- Investigate, resolve, and provide responses to payroll queries from both employees and external parties
Profile
The candidate will have/be:
- Extensive end-to-end Payroll experience - Required
- CIPP qualified or equivalent - Desirable
- High attention to detail and levels of accuracy - Required
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Required
- Ability to work effectively towards deadlines - Required
- Knowledge of Payroll tax laws, statutory rules and regulations - Required
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel - Required
