Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting for a leader in the field as they look for a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role and will live locally to Morden.
Main Duties:
- Management of a small team of three within Finance department.
- Month and year-end Profit and Loss accounts
- Manage company's ongoing monthly and annual cashflow and produce budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are correctly recorded, executed and monitored.
- Monitor all accounts including processing all invoices for purchases and sales.
- Managing and responding to all correspondence and enquiries from suppliers etc.
- Preparing financials statements.
- Prepare all payments for approval and make all account payments through the bank.
- Credit Control - Chase debts, build strong customer relationships, work in partnership with our debt recovery agent, and maintain ledger.
- Process quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage Fixed Asset Register.
- Manage Workplace pensions.
- Company credit card reconciling - prepared and processed.
- Collect wage records for payroll / PAYE including P11d's, RTI and implementation.
- Implement and seek to improve the Company's finance procedures.
- Quarterly Management Accounts
- All reconciliations
- Sales / Purchase ledger management and reconciliation
- Supervise preparation of monthly payments to creditors
- Month end procedures - including prepayments and accruals.
- Monthly Payroll and Commission calculations
- Liaison with Directors / External Accountant
- Work with USA Corporate Controller to ensure correct group/international accounts and intercompany accounting.

- Qualified
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Task Orientated
- Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Staff management experience
- Strong finance and accounting experience, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).Solid understanding of software / SaaS industry.
