The Role:
As an Order Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders from inception to completion. Your key duties will include:
- Receiving and processing sales orders via various channels (phone, email, online portal).
- Verifying order accuracy, including product codes, pricing, and shipping details.
- Liaising with customers to clarify order details and resolve any discrepancies.
- Coordinating with internal departments (e.g., sales and finance) to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Updating and maintaining customer records and order databases with meticulous attention to detail.
- Generating invoices and other essential documentation.
- Handling customer enquiries related to orders
- Proactively communicating order status updates to customers.
- Assisting with stock management and inventory reconciliation as required.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance order administration efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in an order administration, sales support, or similar administrative role is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
