Position: Year 5 Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Responsibilities: Classroom Support:
- Collaborate with the teacher to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring the diverse needs of all students are met.
Small Group Interventions:
- Lead targeted small group interventions to support students in reaching their academic potential.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to meet individual learning goals.
One-to-One Support:
- Provide personalised assistance to students with specific learning needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship to enhance the student's overall learning experience.
Whole Class Support:
- Support the teacher in managing the overall classroom dynamics.
- Contribute to the implementation of differentiated instruction strategies.
PPA Cover:
- Take on the responsibility of covering the teacher for Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time.
- Ensure a seamless continuation of the learning process in the teacher's absence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting the development of young learners.
