Accounts Assistant Part Time (24 Hours)

We are recruiting for a part time Accounts Assistant to join the company at a time of exciting growth. The successful candidate will assist in the smooth running of the accounts department and ensure all purchasing costs are recognised in a timely fashion. The role will work closely with suppliers to ensure effective processes and expectations are managed.

Rate of Pay: £13 - £15 per hour

The working hours are negotiable but preferably a minimum of 4 days - 24 hours a week.

The role is hybrid but initially office based.

About the role:

  • Maintaining the Purchase Order System and providing support to users
  • Processing High Volume Purchase Invoices
  • Dealing with telephone calls from suppliers relating to requests for payment and general queries
  • Supplier Statement reconciliation
  • Managing the Purchase Ledger on Sage 200
  • Producing weekly payment runs
  • Calculating and processing expense claims
  • Administering subcontractor invoices and payments on Sage
  • Reviewing and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the Purchase Ledger
  • Admin duties - including filing and scanning

About you:

  • AAT or Strong Purchase Ledger experience
  • Previous working knowledge of Sage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and work with all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent timekeeping skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
