We are recruiting for a part time Accounts Assistant to join the company at a time of exciting growth. The successful candidate will assist in the smooth running of the accounts department and ensure all purchasing costs are recognised in a timely fashion. The role will work closely with suppliers to ensure effective processes and expectations are managed.
Rate of Pay: £13 - £15 per hour
The working hours are negotiable but preferably a minimum of 4 days - 24 hours a week.
The role is hybrid but initially office based.
About the role:
- Maintaining the Purchase Order System and providing support to users
- Processing High Volume Purchase Invoices
- Dealing with telephone calls from suppliers relating to requests for payment and general queries
- Supplier Statement reconciliation
- Managing the Purchase Ledger on Sage 200
- Producing weekly payment runs
- Calculating and processing expense claims
- Administering subcontractor invoices and payments on Sage
- Reviewing and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the Purchase Ledger
- Admin duties - including filing and scanning
About you:
- AAT or Strong Purchase Ledger experience
- Previous working knowledge of Sage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and work with all levels within the organisation
- Excellent timekeeping skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
