UK Remote (Quarterly visit to Woking)
£45000 + Bonus + Benefits.

Your new company
I am working to recruit an experienced Full Stack WordPress Developer to join a professional services organisation that have taken the decision to bring their Development back in-house from 3rd parties.

You can work remotely in this role within the UK, with a quarterly visit to one of their UK offices (Woking, Windsor, Birmingham), but at the start of the project you will be required to have some face time, explained below.

Your new role
You'll be joining at the perfect time, the business has decided to rebuild their corporate website and it's in discovery phase at the moment. You'll meet with the business and with external agencies to help decide the best build plan and roadmap for the project. After this you can work remote.

You'll report to the Digital Marketing Manager and will be the Sole Developer working on the project, you will have autonomy, trust and control and can really leave your stamp on things. That being said you must have experience working on a build of this scale before to be considered (Wordpress Multisite for 150 brand websites).

Also as the Sole Developer you'll have the opportunity to assume wider responsibilities for sites, whether that be testing, SEO, optimisation, UX and talking to users about improvements they wish to see.

The business has done amazingly well, growing in recent years to become number 3 in the UK in their niche. They are responsible for 240 sites and are approaching 1000 employees, all in the space of 15 years in business which shows their ambition and trajectory.

Here it's a flat structure, no bureaucracy or unnecessary hierarchy. The Senior team retain a hands-on element to their role and equally as a Senior you'll be trusted to have an organic conversation with clients about helping to realise their goals. They are reducing their reliance on contractors so as this team grows, more Senior positions and progression will be available.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for an experienced Full Stack WordPress Developer with 5+ years working on commercial projects - which must include large scale corporate web builds.

You will have a deep understanding of WordPress customisation, theme development, plug ins and API's.

You should be comfortable with PHP, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, but also with Responsive/mobile first design and core UX/UI Design skills.

Working as part of the Marketing team you'll have wider digital skills including SEO, website optimisation and Google analytics.

Nice to have's include React.js/Next.js, Trellis & Bedrock, WP Engine & ACF.
