Production Planner
Location: Fully office based at Darlaston Site
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 - 4:00, Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 (39 hours)

Our client, a leading company in the EDM industry, is seeking a Production Planner to join their team at the Darlaston site.
The Role of Production Planner:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the team in the planning and smooth running of production processes. The Production Planner will detail the materials and machines to be used, the labour required, and the quality standards to be met. This role is primarily office-based with regular interaction with the shopfloor to monitor throughput and address any issues such as staff shortages or machinery breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities of Production Planner:
- Detail necessary production equipment, raw materials (building BOMs), and labour needs for production.
- Submit reports on throughput.
- Identify priority orders and plan accordingly to meet customer requirements.
- Work with Management to address any production issues, setbacks, or quality control concerns.
- Support the Purchasing team to anticipate raw material demands.
- Facilitate contract review meetings, discuss new production methods, and take notes and assign tasks.
- Prepare, complete, and file production paperwork in line with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
- Perform other process administrative tasks relating to production planning and general operations.
Candidate Requirements of Production Planner:
- Ability to collaborate well with others in a cross-functional role.
- Experience working with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Production to coordinate production plans.
- Strong relationship-building skills with operators to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products.
- Good communication skills, flexibility, and an excellent work ethic.
