Salary - 25,000 - 30,000 DOE

Butler Rose are delighted to be partnered with this high growth international SME who are going through an exciting stage of expansion and looking to add an experienced purchase ledger focused Accounts Assistant to their team.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will take full responsibility for the Purchase Ledger function to ensure that financial reporting can be accurately produced to meet strict deadlines

This role would be well suited to someone who has an excellent attention to detail, is a confident communicator in order to build relationships both internally and with external suppliers, and is motivated in a process driven environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small team who each play an integral part in the wider finance function within the business and so you will be able to really see the impact you have and where your work is valued.

Duties of this role include:

  • Code & process all supplier invoices, both Internal & External
  • Check & process all employee expenses on a weekly basis
  • Posting of daily banking transactions across 3 bank accounts
  • Weekly submission of the cash balance to Group
  • Ordering of stock via the company card in line with purchasing & approval processes
  • Maintaining the Purchase Ledger filing system in the office
  • Maintenance of the Purchase Order listing in Sage, working closely with the operations team
  • Working with the Warehouse team to make sure that stock is recorded correctly against Purchase orders
  • Posting of prepayments to ensure that costs are captured in the correct period
  • Management of accounts Inbox, answering all queries, maintaining the filing system, and escalating emails where needed
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Developing & maintaining good working relationships with external and internal suppliers
  • Raising of payments in the banking system for approval by management

You may have good purchase ledger experience currently and be looking for a role that really utilises those skills in an in depth and fast paced environment - this is a great role to develop your understanding of the finance function within a wider business.

To be successful in this process you must:
- Be a confident communicator both oral and written
- Be a confident user of Excel (pivot tables/vlookups)
