We are currently working in partnership on a retained role with 'HSL' for an 'accountant'. This is the perfect opportunity if you are part-qualified and looking to join a collaborative team in a busy environment.
HSL Ltd, a distinctive family-owned furniture manufacturing company based in Batley, handles 95% of its manufacturing at their Batley site. Recently, they have also brought distribution and logistics functions in-house. In this role, you'll gain exposure to all aspects of the business.

The scope of this role will cover anything from transactional finance, to getting involved in month end prep, analysis and business partnering, to engaging with senior personnel including family owners where necessary.
What might your day to day look like?
No two days will be the same with the variety that this role presents. Your duties will include, but not be limited to the following;
- Assisting with month end accounts
- Preparation of Accruals & prepayments and journal postings
- Ensure Internal controls & policy compliance
- Ensure accurate recording of departmental costs
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Reporting and analysis
- Budgets and forecasts
- Processing Monthly payroll
- Reconciling PAYE / NIC and ensuring timely payment
- Managing day-to-day insurance matters, eg claims, new properties, vehicles etc
- Assist the Finance Team as required
