Do you want to work for a growing business where you'll be a key member of the team who work across 10 sites. You will be working with plenty of autonomy.
Stirling Warrington are currently recruiting for a SHE Office near Middlewich, working for a top manufacturer. The role is working closely with the SHE Manager, assisting with implementing Procedures, Policies etc.
This business has very little staff turnover within H&S, great working conditions and good people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the compilation and implementation of H&S procedures, policies and other documentation.
- To ensure the effective maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management system in relation to the OHSAS45001 & 14001 (2015) standards.
- Conduct general risk assessments throughout production site/s
- Ability to negotiate with statutory authorities.
- Conduct workplace audits and report findings of non-compliance to production managers and PUK SHE Manager, making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
- Coordinate and accompany contractor/end user/client auditors on operational visits. (Action any corrective points).
- To visit sites when necessary to advice on safe off loading/handling of products.
- To visit sites to ensure that subcontractors are adhering to all H&S requirements
- Promote a positive H&S culture whilst recommending new initiatives
The Candidate:
- Previous experience working within construction and manufacturing for a minimum of a few years
- You will have a proactive approach to Health and Safety.
- Ideally, but not essential, you'll have a SMSTS (Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate).
- You will hold a NEBOSH certification as a minimum
