Job Title: Administrator

Type: Temporary Contract 6 months

Location: Abercynon – office based initially

Hourly Rate: £12.50 - £14

Hours: 37 per week (Monday-Friday)

BRC are working with a small housing association in the Rhondda valley who are looking for a Property Services Administrator to join them on a temporary contract basis. You will be co-ordinating the day-to-day planning and scheduling of responsive repairs, void property works, compliance and planned maintenance programmes.

You will also liaise closely with tenants, contractors, and customer services staff to ensure that the required works and services are completed effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Appoint, plan, and manage surveyors work schedules.
  • Complete work orders as required.
  • Upload and check contractor certificates.
  • Upload and chase any outstanding invoices.
  • Receiving/raising works orders and processing through the scheduling system or manually communicating work order instructions.
  • Assess and arrange appointments for follow on work.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Experience dealing with a high volume of customers over phone and email.
  2. Good communication skills.
  3. Providing administrative support, ideally within a maintenance department.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  5. Ability to work on your own initiative in pressured situations and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
  6. Ability to retrieve information, check facts and details and absorb information quickly.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with a diverse group of people.

Additional Information:

  • Social housing experience is desirable.
  • Equipment and training of the systems will be provided.
  • Must be available immediately or within 1 week!
