Founded over three decades ago and headquartered in Birmingham, this manufacturer and retailer has grown organically and now serves customers across the UK. A great career move for a customer-focused Complaints Handler, this position will play a key role in enhancing the customer journey and is suited to a candidate who can strike the balance and enjoys delivering outcomes that benefit both the customer and company.
The offering:
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- Salary: £26,000
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

The day-to-day duties will include:
- Handle incoming calls and act as the first point of contact for customers
- Take complete ownership of complaints with the aim to deliver a one call resolution
- Achieve the best outcomes for the customer and company by investigating complaints and responding appropriately
- Resolve complaints within agreed timescales and company guidelines
- Escalate complaints when necessary
- Log customer complaints within the CRM system and ensure all notes are updated until conclusion
The successful candidate will need:
- Experience in customer service, with a particular focus on complaint handling
- Track record of successfully investigating and responding to complaints
- Solutions-focused with the ability to efficiently resolve problems
- Strong communication skills, able to foster trusting relationships with customers
- Excellent listening skills, able to understand and reason with customers
- Computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Office packages, knowledge of Salesforce would be beneficial
