Founded over three decades ago and headquartered in Birmingham, this manufacturer and retailer has grown organically and now serves customers across the UK. A great career move for a customer-focused Complaints Handler, this position will play a key role in enhancing the customer journey and is suited to a candidate who can strike the balance and enjoys delivering outcomes that benefit both the customer and company.

The offering:

  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Salary: £26,000
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

The day-to-day duties will include:

  • Handle incoming calls and act as the first point of contact for customers
  • Take complete ownership of complaints with the aim to deliver a one call resolution
  • Achieve the best outcomes for the customer and company by investigating complaints and responding appropriately
  • Resolve complaints within agreed timescales and company guidelines
  • Escalate complaints when necessary
  • Log customer complaints within the CRM system and ensure all notes are updated until conclusion

The successful candidate will need:

  • Experience in customer service, with a particular focus on complaint handling
  • Track record of successfully investigating and responding to complaints
  • Solutions-focused with the ability to efficiently resolve problems
  • Strong communication skills, able to foster trusting relationships with customers
  • Excellent listening skills, able to understand and reason with customers
  • Computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Office packages, knowledge of Salesforce would be beneficial
