We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a team at an impressive Educational client in the Swindon area. You will work closely with senior management on year end accounts, to effectively inform the decision-making processes. The role is offered on a hybrid basis with 2 days working from home with a start date of early September.
Key Responsibilities:
- In the short term, there will be a key focus on year-end accounts and accruals
- Develop, monitor, and report on budgets across various departments, ensuring alignment with the organisation's planning objectives
- Monthly management accounts, bank reconciliation, creditors and debtors, variance analysis and financial statements
- Analysis of operational costs, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements
- Assist in developing financial plans that support the organisation's long-term goals.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, maintaining robust financial controls
Requirements:
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA highly desirable.
- Solid experience in management accounting and year end accruals
- Education sector experience advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Live within 45 mins commute of Swindon
Please note this role is initially offered on the basis of a 3/4 month contract
