Head of Procurement - Interim

Partner Interim are working with a global, private equity-backed healthcare business on the cusp of significant growth and transformation. With strategic expansion plans in place, this organisation is set to redefine industry standards through delivery and cutting-edge practices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a global procurement strategy aligned with the businesses mission in providing high quality services to its clients
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure best quality, cost-effectiveness, and innovation
  • Leading efforts to identify and achieve cost savings while maintaining the quality of goods and services procured
  • Identifying potential supply chain risks and mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and reliability
  • Overseeing contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, including pricing, delivery, and service level agreements
  • Ensuring all procurement activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards, including sustainable sourcing practices
  • Utilising procurement data to monitor performance, generate insights, and provide regular reports to senior management on key procurement metrics

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading the procurement function in healthcare or a related industry.
  • Strong ability to think strategically and translate business goals into actionable procurement strategies
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of achieving favourable terms and building long-term partnerships with suppliers
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost management within a procurement context.
  • Proficient in data analysis and using insights to inform decision-making and improve procurement outcomes.
