SENCO Assistant

Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the SENCO in identifying and assessing students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to coordinate support for students.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to SEN provision.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of training sessions for staff on SEN issues.
- Support the SENCO in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of SEN provision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable).
