Job Title: Warehouse Operative & Dispensing Assistant
Location: Christchurch, UK

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative. In this crucial role, you will support the pharmacy's day-to-day operations by managing the dispensing process, packing orders, and maintaining inventory, all while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing & Packaging:

  • Ensure an organised and efficient workflow, including the preparation of Royal Mail postage labels for outgoing packages.

  • Securely pack boxes once the pharmacist has added the medication, ensuring all items are included as required.

  • Accurately and promptly update the patient's Semble record with dispensed items.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Assist with the management and stock control of medications and other supplies, with a focus on cold-chain maintenance.

  • Compliance & Safety:

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company protocols.

  • Support the pharmacist in managing and resolving any dispensing-related queries.

  • Team Collaboration:

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and company policies.

  • Assist in the continuous improvement of dispensing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Customer Service:

  • While this is a non-customer-facing role, you will be expected to provide exceptional service by addressing patient enquiries and concerns with professionalism and care, as directed by the pharmacist.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for managing records and generating labels.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
