Description
Assistant Management Accountant
- Financial Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis, cost analysis, and profitability analysis.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Month-end Close: Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and distribute management reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide insights into business performance and trends.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the valuation and management of inventory, including periodic stock takes and reconciliations.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as required by senior management.
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant -
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
