Finance Officer | South Belfast | Permanent
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with an organisation in the charitable sector in South Belfast and are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their team.
This is a full time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Working independently, the Finance Office will take control of the day-to-day finance within the organisation.
Specific duties will include:
Maintain the purchase order, invoicing, and payment systems and processes
Maintain the sales ledger, consulting with other teams to ensure accuracy of invoicing and receipts information on all IT systems, including processing of invoices and receipts
Reconciling data from differing sources to ensure consistency of data
Source potential suppliers for goods/services provided and prepare concise reports to enable effective decision making
Preparing reconciliations of all bank/credit card accounts for review and approval
Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
Reconcile Creditor & Debtors accounts
Prepare quarterly cash projection reports
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
Prepare year-end Financial Statements to trial balance stage
Working alongside management assisting with the preparation of periodic reports
Collating committee papers for Audit & Risk, Finance & Performance and Council
Dealing with queries and requests from both Internal and External Auditors
The Person:
Applicants will be able to work independently and will have the ability to liaise with suppliers, internal staff and stakeholders.
Applicants will have excellent communication skills and will work well as part of the wider team.
Applicants will have 3+ years finance experience in a similar role and will be conversant with Sage 50 software.
An ATI accounting technician qualification is preferred but is not essential.
