Location - Snodland

Salary - £12.19 per hour

Hours - Monday to Thursday (7.30am to 4pm) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

Temporary to Permanent

Our client who provides indoor environment solutions that work exactly as desired - adding value from project start to finish is looking to recruit a Goods-In and Stores Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Responsibilities for the role of Goods-In and Stores Operative:

  • Ensure departments comply with company policies and quality control procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain optimal material availability for daily production and dispatch needs
  • Keep accurate stock transaction records and investigate, report, and correct any stock errors and anomalies
  • Request stock transfers from 3PL and update the ERP system accordingly
  • Ensure timely receipt and proper storage of incoming purchase orders
  • Represent the department actively, both internally and externally, in physical and virtual settings
  • Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Promote best practices in materials and stock control processes, including consignment, DLF-lineside, Kanban, and VMI
  • Plan, manage and execute stock-take processes as required by the finance department
  • Record and report department KPIs as needed by the management team
  • Collaborate closely with the QA department and suppliers to coordinate the segregation, return, or replacement of non-conforming products
  • Arrange for skip exchanges and pallet deliveries
  • Unload vehicles promptly and in line with H&S protocols
  • Ensure all goods are correctly labelled

Person specification for the role of Goods-In and Stores Operative:

  • Must have basic IT skills computer literacy (knowledge of inventory management systems) WMS ERP
  • Forklift licence - Counterbalance and ideally combi licence
  • Will have stores activities experience
  • Factory experience is required for this role
