Audit & Accounts Manager Job Vacancy
We're delighted to be supporting a UK Top 50 firm in their search for a motivated, ambitious and talented Audit and Accounts Manager in London.
You'll be qualified to ACCA or ACA level with at least 4 years experience of working in UK practice.
You'll have recent experience of leading large turnover audits and you'll have a sound understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, auditing standards, all matters of general accounting and tax.
We're seeking an excellent communicator and you'll have existing supervisory level experience and be excited to lead a team of brilliant accountants to produce a first class level of service and technical output for a loyal and growing client portfolio.

Job Purpose
- Managing audits from planning through to completion including some field work.
- Review of accounts preparation for non-audit clients.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff members.
- Corporate tax computations.
- Involvement in the management of a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management.
- Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
- Confidently present work to Managers, completing files to a high standard.
- Experience of accounting and audit software.
- Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
- Handle compliance queries from clients.
- Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
- Mentor and support new trainees, supporting with their learning and development.
- Set an example for the team.

The Successful Applicant
- ACCA or ACA qualified, or finalist, with previous accountancy practice experience.
- Experience leading high turnover audits.
- Charitable or NFP experience desirable.
- Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress.
- Technically efficient in both audit and accounting.
- A drive to deliver an excellent level of service.
- Effective communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
- An appetite to progress and take on a supervisory role within the firm.
