Registry and Operations Officer (Compliance)

Contract Type: Full Time - Fixed term until 29/08/2025

Salary: £23,400 per annum

Leeds International Study Centre and its programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University.

Reporting to the Head of Registry and Operations you will be a member of the Registry and Operations Team with a key focus on compliance, which includes but is not limited to visa checks in accordance with UKVI requirements, attendance monitoring and student finance. You will also be required to provide general administrative support within the centre.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Ensure students are compliant at enrolment including checking visas, issuing BRPs and checking addresses.
  • Submitting requests to the UKVI for visa amendments as required.
  • Deal with visa and immigration queries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, providing clear and comprehensive data relating to compliance as required by senior colleagues.
  • Process student withdrawals. Ensuring SMS reports are made and evidence provided from students as needed.
  • Ensuring accommodation indemnities are in place for students under 18 where required.
  • Monitoring student attendance including issuing attendance warnings and reports.
  • Deal with attendance enquiries and authorised absence requests in line with the Attendance Policy.
  • Monitoring and chasing student debt, including maintaining accurate records and providing debt reports to senior colleagues.
  • Complete student applications to university via the Direct Entry system.
  • Assisting with organising student induction and events.

ABOUT YOU

  • Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience of working within administration
  • Experience of working in an academic setting in a student facing role (Desirable)
  • Understanding of UKVI requirements (desirable)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Strong IT skills in particular Microsoft Office programmes
  • A focused and proactive approach to work
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to communicate with key stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines whilst maintaining a professional and calm manner
  • Evidence of working cooperatively with others
